Don’t you wish you knew a creative elf who could manage the task of wrapping all those packages for you?

Your wish has come true!  Margie Blystone will be thrilled to wrap your gifts in the grand fashion they richly deserve, in exchange for your generous donation by cash or check to the Elkton Boys & Girls Club.  Simply bring your gifts for wrapping to The Palette & The Page any time between the hours of 11:00am to 6:00pm from Monday, November 26th thru Thursday, December 20th.  100% of the proceeds will benefit the Elkton Boys & Girls Club.

Calling All 55+ Photographers!

Senior Services & Community Transit is inviting all amateur photographers 55+ to submit their favorite digital photographs in the 2013 “Heart of Cecil County” Calendar Photo Contest.  The 2013 edition of the calendar will once again feature photographs taken by folks 55+ all around the county. We’ll take a look through the lens of your camera to find the ‘heart’ of our county – what makes it special to you, what makes it good. Your inspiration might come from a special event, a beautiful scene, a remarkable person. The sky’s the limit, as long as it’s located in Cecil County!

Wristband Nights are Tuesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 7.  Ride all the rides for one price, with a wristband!
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps us pay for projects like the Senior Prom and Christmas from the Heart!

Just in time for June, a busy month for weddings in Elkton, the colorful story of that era is being presented in a captivating talk.   Hear about how the quick marriage business got started in Cecil County in 1913 and for several decades made the place hum as the marrying parsons worked overtime, cranking out some 12,000 marriages annually in the mid-1930s.
